We are just two roommates who happen to be best friends, and the best decision we ever made was not to buy cable.
Without the distraction of television, we have had to much spare time in our new apartment to craft. We came across www.craftgawker.com, and we were inspired to make just about everything on the website! So that's how Apt. Seven Twenty Three was born.
A little about Jenna and I (BTW, this is Caitlin).
We met in our high school graphic design class, where we knew we had something in common -we liked to make stuff, and make it better than everyone else. One October, when no one signed up to decorate our classroom door for homecoming week, we both jumped on the opportunity to spend the entire week painting and coloring. Not only did we win the award for most creative door, we also became friends for life.
Four years ago.
And today.
We are both currently attending Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. I am studying entreprenuership, while Jenna is studying elementary education. I do run a small business called Revive Bath & Body that I am hoping to expand through the program at KSU.
This summer, we search and searched and searched some more for the perfect apartment (and for a good price!). We moved into our little apartment August 19th. Now we have one mission, to make it cute!
Besides going to school and crafting, we also both work at a restaurant called Otter's Chicken. Jenna is a manager while I am called the director of catering. Yeah, I guess we kinda like each other. I mean, we eat together, live together, go to school together, work together... we pretty much do EVERYTHING together! (except date the same guys!) Jenna has a boyfriend named Steven and I date a guy named Ben. We love our men!
On this blog, we will take you though the trials and errors of every DIY project out there. Our goal is to make them as simple and affordable as possible, but also freaking awesome. There may be smiles; there may be tears of frustration; but we will GIT-R-DONE! (We are in the south, yall!) So follow us to keep up with the craft craziness!
Stay tuned for our first DIY project! It involves buttons!
